Summer is the best time for a great break from work and school stuff but not with the incoming Grade One pupils of Montessori De Sagrada Familia. While some children are still enjoying their summer vacation, these young Sagradan pupils chose to spend the early part of their summer in school.
With a total of 67, these little Sagradans started their summer classes last April 11 and ended it last April 26. The 10-day classes created meaningful experiences for the children as they were able to make new friends and build harmonious relationships among their teachers.
Bounded with great dedication and passion to teach, the set of Grade One teachers, together with their mentors, carefully planned the lessons and activities to be taught and the materials needed for the entire summer class.
The start of summer class went smoothly as the teachers assisted and accommodated the learners and assured the parents of their child’s safety inside the classroom. As days went by, the little Sagradans seemed to be so fond of going to school but the date April 26 reminded them that there should be an end.
Every beginning has its beautiful ending, and that’s the reason why the Grade One teachers decided to have a mini awarding ceremony for all of the pupils who successfully finished their summer classes.
The ceremony was led by Teacher Celine, one of the Grade One teachers, wherein the pupils showcased their talents in dancing in different tunes and singing the song “A Million Dreams”. Furthermore, the little Sagradans were also given simple medals and a compilation of their outputs that indicated their hard works and perseverance all throughout the summer class.
As a result, the students appreciated and enjoyed the program which made them more excited to be ready and to come back in June.
