How We Teach

Constructivism

At MDSF, we believe that children learn best by actively making meaning, not by simply receiving information. Constructivism recognizes that learners build new understanding through experiences, reflection, and social interaction. Sagradans are given opportunities to generate new knowledge, apply information, and create products or performances that offer meaningful solutions to real or existing problems. In this model, students become independent thinkers and problem-solvers, empowered to design, innovate, and make sense of the world around them

CREATE Blended Learning

Learning continues in school and online through flexible, tech‑supported instruction that keeps students engaged and on track during disruptions.

Emergent Curriculum

(Preschool)

Our Preschool program follows an Emergent Curriculum, where learning grows from children’s interests and natural curiosity. Teachers observe, listen, and design meaningful, play-based experiences that respond to what children want to explore, nurturing joy, creativity, and early thinking skills.

Project‑Based Learning

(Grade School-High School)

Students investigate real‑world questions, create meaningful products, and share their work in culminating events—building confidence, collaboration, and critical thinking.
