Sagradan parents came to claim the proof of their children’s academic performance as Montessori De Sagrada Familia (MDSF) held its distribution of report cards for the first quarter in the Elementary Level I and II.
Parents, as early as 7:30 a.m. Sept.8, devoted their time to meet with the teachers and be aware of their children’s performance for the rating period. Meanwhile, the teachers, their partners in learning, prepared their behavioral and mental evaluation of the learners.
Mrs. Jennilyn Carpio, a Grade One teacher, shared one of the highlights of the day when she quoted what a Sagradan parent has observed. Mrs. Carpio said that some parents were not after the numerical grades or high recognition as long as their children are happy in school. Though some parents admitted that a certificate of recognition and a high rating reflected in the report card are something a Sagradan parent could be proud of. Every learner’s achievement, big or small is highly-recommended and worth celebrating.
An atmosphere of anticipation from the parents was welcomed by MDSF teachers. Both sincerely communicated their observations and concerns on the welfare of the children. Bullying incidents, behavioral problems, study habits, classroom order, and disciplinary actions were readdressed.
The First Quarter has just ended but the partnership has just started. The parent-teacher working relationship is still in progress. See you Sagradans in the next quarter!
