On the 23rd day of June, year 2017, Mrs. Carmela Santos-Ong, Assistant Principal of the Preschool Department received her diploma in completion of her Master’s Degree in Education major in Teaching in the Early Grades at the Cine Adarna, University of the Philippines. T. Cai, as the preschool teachers would call her, is very happy and fulfilled for being able to complete a very challenging academic journey and balance its demands with her role at home: a dutiful wife to her husband, Joshua and a hands-on mother to her kids, Martina and Elias. When she walked up the stage to receive her diploma, she couldn’t help but feel emotional as she was reminded of all the grace and provisions that God has given her from the start of her academic course work until the publishing of her thesis entitled: “Effects of Peer Conflict Resolution Training Program on Preschool Teachers’ Conflict Management Styles”.
The entire Sagradan community is very proud of T. Cai’s accomplishment. Her Facebook wall is now filled with messages of congratulations and cheers from family members, co-teachers, friends and also Sagradan parents. Indeed it was a day meant to rejoice and be glad.
