Having Zumba and picnic was a great way to end the Nutrition Month celebration of the Sagradan kids as they enjoyed dancing to the rhythm of the music and ate together thereafter in the gym, July 31.
They moved and wiggled their bodies energetically like their Zumba instructor, Teacher Nica. They felt comfortable wearing their colorful Zumba attires while doing kid-friendly routines and movements. Doing Zumba did not just give them an outlet to jump, dance, shake, and swing their hips but it was also a perfect recipe for fitness and fun. Moreover, this will help them gain coordination and self-confidence. Doing such dance moves while having fun is an essential part of children’s health.
After a tiring yet enjoyable Zumba dance, each section per level had gathered themselves altogether for their picnic. Each child brought a nutritious snack to be shared with his/her classmates. They formed friend circles as they munched different healthy food such as apple, grapes, banana, and others. The children really had fun conversing and sharing their healthy practices with their classmates and teachers while enjoying the nutritious treats.
Indeed, Zumba and eating healthy food are some of the ways for the children to achieve a healthy and strong body. Thus, we are very glad that at an early age, our Sagradan kids are already health conscious.
