Friday is the day for physical exercise for the Sagradan Preschoolers. They would usually play in the Outdoor/Small Playground and perform some rhythmic exercises.
This time, Yoga was introduced to them. They enjoyed doing the different yoga poses for kids and relaxed themselves through breathing exercises plus the calming music being played in the background.
According to Shana Meyerson, a founder of a yoga studio in Southern California, Yoga helps build self-esteem and self-respect. There are plenty of complicated yoga poses that would test a child’s balance and flexibility. Hence, after every successful tries, children get a boost of self-confidence knowing that they are now able to do more with their bodies.
