Last Monday, my class and I did the activity Johari’s window where each pupil was given a blank paper with two questions to answer about a specific classmate: “Ano ang gusto mong ugali ko?” and “Ano ang ayaw mong ugali ko?” All papers were passed around until every pupil was able to write something about all of his classmates.
My pupils actively participated in this activity and they were honest with their comments about their classmates and even I myself joined because I wanted to know their thoughts and feedbacks about my dealing with them. After the activity, we read all of the comments of their classmates. I asked some questions like what they felt after reading their classmates’ comments about them.
In the end, I summarized all of their inputs and as a class, we concluded that we need to accept what others think of ourselves and that we still have a chance to change ourselves for the better. Upon doing this activity, we developed one of the core values of MDSF which is the sense of family because we became closer and we built trust for each other.
