Today marks a celebration of the Holy Communion of every Grade Three pupils of Montessori De Sagrada Familia(MDSF). The Catholic tradition was held at the Sagrada Familia Parish Church in Barangay Tangos, Baliwag, Bulacan, 8 o’clock in the morning, Oct.13.
One hundred thirteen communicants from Three-Aquamarine, Three-Opal, Three-Peridot, Three-Goshenite, and Three-Amethyst attended The Eucharist, officiated by Father Ventura Galman.
After the procession at 9 o’clock led by the Elementary Level I coordinator, Mrs. Jovelina Inductivo, the Holy Mass started wherein selected pupils offered some candles, bread, flowers, sweets and pastries, wine, and a handful of cash along with their participative parents and guardians.
During the mass, Father Galman stressed the most significant persons in one’s life. In asking “who and what really matters”, everyone was given something to reflect on. He also emphasized cultivating a grateful heart for Grade Three Sagradans where these pupils were encouraged to thank their parents, teachers, and the people behind MDSF.
The Holy Communion, according to the school directress, Mrs. Maria Cristina S. Silamor is a spiritual journey where each communicant should remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Silamor and Mrs. Maria Carmela S. Ong, Assistant Principal of the Pre-School Department gave certificates to the communicants.
Such momentous event for the Grade Three pupils ended in a heart-warming performance of “ Lord, I Lift Your Name Up High” choreographed by their MAPEH Teacher, Mr. Mharc Renzo Galano.
In this sacrament, the children of MDSF give thanks for all that God does for them through Jesus Christ.
The First Holy Confession was also held the other day, Oct.12 and thus, further highlighted with the ceremony of the Holy Communion that caters to the God-loving spirit that embodies a Sagradan student.
