Last July 03, 2017, the guidance counselor of the Elementary Department T. Patricia Musni together with the school’s student well-being officer, Sir Melchor Cruz, held a talk on the anti-bullying act of the Philippines at the school gymnasium. The grades 4-6 students were all gathered and given a brief discussion on the different behaviors that describe bullying and the harmful consequences that it may cause a person’s well-being. According to T. Patricia, resource speaker, and guidance counselor, students nowadays are not aware that their actions, even the usual “childlike” behavior, may be considered as a form of bullying. By being conscious of their own actions, students will now be cautious of the words they say and the things that they do to their fellow schoolmates. The said talk is one of the many school initiatives in promoting safety culture in the Sagradan community. Now that awareness about bullying is promoted in MDSF, Sagradans are highly encouraged to report incidents of bullying behavior to their class advisers and teachers immediately.
