Transfigurate illiteracy with a grasp of change.
Belonging in an era of progressivism, learning has evolved in various facets, enriching the competencies of the youth. With the enhanced status of education, students are able to achieve equitable chances of learning.
As an annual practice in the Senior High School Curriculum, the Work Immersion has been a stepping stone for the Senior High School students of Montessori De Sagrada Familia, in achieving experience towards their projected careers. In partnership with the Municipality of Baliwag, the institution has provided a bridge for the improvement and the overall capabilities of the youth. Assigned on various offices in the municipal vicinity, the SHS students were assigned on different offices namely: Public Information Office, Human Resource Management Office, Nutrition and Population, Municipal Environment and Natural Resources, Public Employment Service, Municipal Legal Office, Archives and Record Office, Tourism Office, Sangguniang Bayan, and the Municipal Planning and Development Center and Montessori De Sagrada Familia, Preschool and Elementary Departments. With a span of 8 hours a day, the course requires 72 hours of immersion from Thursday to Friday. Spearheaded by the Work Immersion adviser, Mrs. Rowena S.J. Jumaquio, the course is indeed a huge privilege for the Senior High.
Engaging a strong sense of community engagement and service, the Work Immersion employs the similar core values which the MDSF community upholds. Given the number of participating schools and students, it is vital for the youth to learn and understand the value of camaraderie. Along with this, the course allows real-time actualization and simulation of the workplace experience. Though it sounds as a task needing major time allocation, it promises benefits beyond the expectations of people.
Work Immersion is a path towards global competitiveness, a bridge engaging the youth to becoming better individuals. Despite its short span, its impact grasps on long term benefits.
Transfigurate illiteracy, community engagement is the key.
