A new enemy has arisen. This time it couldn’t just be stopped simply by the government or the armed forces. This time the enemy was invisible and it needs to be stopped now.
In late 2019 a virus called the CoronaVirus, more commonly known as COVID-19 struck in Wuhan, China.
This is something the Filipinos did not expect. They underestimated the virus since the first day it was announced. it’s only ever acknowledged in March 2020 when the Luzon Lockdown was announced.
When the sickness was announced we were all just enjoying our lives. Going to school, work, and etc. But now we are stuck at home with more than 5000 people carrying a dreadful sickness that doesn’t even have a cure!
In 1918 a pandemic called the Spanish Flu struck and took 50 million people from this planet. Research says that these lessons could help prevent that CoronaVirus from coming back.
This sickness would have a chance to be wiped out if only everybody would follow the government’s rules which were to stay home and don’t go out. If only everybody would listen to the rules then we would’ve probably reached a lower number of COVID-19 cases here in the PH. But instead, they go out of their houses with various reasons on why they went out.
The government is trying its best to do everything from donations to telling us not to panic. What else do they want? The government is trying its hardest to give the Filipinos a comfortable life while facing a pandemic. All the Filipinos can do is trust them.
Nobody was expecting this. This is a time where everybody should help everybody.
Everyone should realize that not only one person is affected by this sickness. It would be best if we were to help each other in the time of need. Like giving thanks to the front liners, giving donations to those in need, or simply staying at home. This is all you need to do to make the world better so why not do it?
