Gracing the celebration of Teachers’ Day,
Racho: Teachers should strive and thrive this pandemic
As part of the week-long celebration of Teachers’ Day, the Montessori De Sagrada Familia (MDSF) faculty members and staff attended a webinar focused on the theme “Strive to Thrive” facilitated by Dr. Noel Racho, an award-winning human resource officer, October 22.
Dr. Racho, a Human Resource Officer from Miriam College, emphasized that in this pandemic, teachers should strive to shed light on the students who are also struggling and adjusting to this pandemic.
“You need to strive and thrive in this pandemic, to give hope to the students. That’s what makes your profession noble,” he said.
In the webinar, the teachers and staff participated in some activities that allowed them to share their experiences and insights about this pandemic. Ma’am Clarice Joy Espiritu, a Mathematics teacher, shared how she drew inspiration from the webinar.
“I realized how important my role is as a teacher in this pandemic. As a hope-giver, I must inspire my students to hold on and still hope that whatever we are facing now, we can be strong and we can grow from our experiences,” she said.
Aside from the webinar, other activities were done as part of the celebration.
