To track the vaccination status in the school, the administration of the Montessori De Sagrada Familia, Inc. (MDSF) profiled the students through a survey which revealed that almost 93% of the high school students are fully vaccinated already as of February 16.
To break it down, the data show that per grade level, a big percentage of students have completed their vaccination shots already, as follows: Grade 7, 90.9%; Grade 8, 91.8%; Grade 9, 94.3%; Grade 10, 92.7%; Grade 11, 94.5%; and Grade 12, 93.6%.
For Ms. Maria Cristina Camangon, the Senior High School Department Head, the record-breaking results are an opportunity for the successful implementation of the blended learning modality next school year.
“This is a very good indication that we can navigate to the limited face-to-face classes next school year. Two years is quite long enough for pure online classes. It is still good though that education continued. However, I believe our students also need to go back to the physical school so they will be able to experience again the fun and excitement of seeing their classmates and teachers and improve their social skills and do different interactive and engaging activities,” she said.
Meanwhile, several students already had their first dose and are scheduled to have their second dose one of these days. Also, some students are still waiting for the schedule of their first dose.
As of the moment, the vaccination of children aged 5-11 is ongoing in different parts of the country.
