Like a mother equipping the necessary tools needed by her children in order to successfully thrive on their first week in school, Mrs. Vilma C. Dela Cruz, school principal, made the members of the faculty department ready to face and lead the sea of learners, the Sagradans, on the opening of classes, June 14 and 15. Dela Cruz formally opened the AY 2017 – 2018, with high hopes that MDSF, together with its administrators, teaching and non-teaching staff, would all perform like an orchestra, though playing different musical instruments, but rendering a symphony that is beautifully crafted in unison to make its vision which is a learning hub of innovation and creativity felt and realized this academic year. The rest of the administrators, from the Assistant Principal to the Directress, Vice President, and President, also delivered their warm felicitations and inspirational messages to the whole Sagradan workforce, all gearing to one important aspect of the Sagradan culture, the sense of family.
As part of the tradition in MDSF, all newly hired teachers were asked to introduce themselves to the rest of the Sagradan workforce and to welcome them with bright smiles and open arms as they become officially part of the growing Sagradan community.
Moreover, three of the pioneers of MDSF, Mrs. Grace Bernaldez, Mrs. Aurora Buenaventura, and Mrs. Jovelina Inductivo, were acknowledged and were given plaques of recognition and gratitude to their undoubted service for 20 years to the institution.
Election of the new faculty officers and execution of the new traffic schemes for AY 2017-2018 were also covered during the latter part of the first meeting of the faculty association of MDSF.
