After the mind-squeezing Math Quiz Bee, Samantha Heart Carlos of 6-Moonstone vanquished 46 delegates earning her the 1st place spot happening at San Benildo Integrated School, Sept. 21.
The dedicated Grade 6 pupil is still in wonder after winning the mind-bubbling competition. After the months of intensive training under her coach Mrs. Ellen P. Del Rosario, a Math 6 teacher, all their teamwork and hardships were not in vain as they will proceed to the next level of the competition which is the provincial meet. According to her coach, Carlos nailed 17 out of 20 math problems which made her stand out among the contenders.
In an interview with Carlos after winning the competition, she uttered “Hindi po ako makapaniwala na ako yung nag-first, sobrang thankful po ako kay Lord at kay coach, this is for my family, thank you po”. Her coach Mrs. Del Rosario even added “sabi ko sa kanya we’ve done our part, let God do the rest kaya nung nanalo siya talagang hindi ko napigilang maiyak”.
This just proves that MDSF is living up to its battlecry to #RelivetheSagradanLegacy in every competition they’re into such as the BulPriSa District III Meet.
