Montessori De Sagrada Familia, Inc. (MDSF) introduces IMPACT—Innovation, Meaning, Purpose for Active and Creative Teaching, a professional development initiative designed to make teacher formation more meaningful, relevant, and human-centered.
Inspired by FITCON of Xavier School San Juan, IMPACT reimagines professional development as more than a series of required training sessions. It gives teachers the opportunity to choose areas they are curious about, explore new ideas, and discover practices that can enrich their teaching and personal formation.
Aligned with the school’s Sagradan Joyful Learning Framework, IMPACT recognizes that teachers, like students, learn best when they have a sense of choice, purpose, belonging, and agency. By allowing educators to pursue topics that spark their curiosity, the program encourages active participation and lifelong learning.
More than developing teaching techniques, IMPACT focuses on formation—developing teachers as whole persons who can bring greater meaning, creativity, and purpose into their work. Its human-centered approach places the teacher at the heart of professional growth, recognizing that empowered and fulfilled educators are better equipped to create joyful and meaningful learning experiences for students.
