Last June 21, 2019, after the celebration of the mass of the Holy Spirit, the entire student community welcomed Zeth Quiambao, a Sagradan athlete who won the gold medal award in the Palarong Pambansa 2019 badminton boys event. During the homecoming event, the school principal Mrs. Maria Cristina Santos Silamor awarded Zeth and his family a plaque of recognition for his exemplary award in the field of athletics. The young Sagradan champion took the opportunity to deliver an inspiring speech to his schoolmates.
“Good morning, everyone.
Thank you MDSF for this recognition.
My fellow Sagradans, we all have God-given talents.
I encourage you to find which one is closest to your heart. And when you finally do, start the process by loving your craft. Keep practicing.
The road to your dream may be tough and you may sometimes fail. But you have to keep going.
Learn to share your knowledge to others so there will be more athletes, artists, singers, dancers, journalists and so on.
Appreciate the positive and negative people, the ups and downs, because they all contribute to your learnings.
Focus on your goal.
Be patient yet determined, have faith in God’s own time. And most of all, always pray and thank the Lord for everything.
Whenever I compete, people often ask me, “Zeth, saan ka nag-aaral?”. And I proudly answer: “Sa Montessori De Sagrada Familia po, sa Baliwag, Bulacan.”
I have been a Sagradan since preschool, And I will always carry the Sagradan spirit in my heart wherever my journey takes me.
Thank you very much, my MDSF family.”
