In line with their aim to maintain happiness in their workplace, Montessori De Sagrada Familia (MDSF) conducted fun run and other recreational activities, participated by both teaching and non-teaching staff of the school at MDSF Nature Park, October 26.
The event started with a prayer, followed by a zumba dance as a warm-up exercise before proceeding to a four-kilometer run for both male and female participants.
They also joined in various games including sack race, sponge game, pass the hula hoop, pass the water, and obstacle course, competing for points from different ranks.
In addition, staff enjoyed their breakfast as they ate in a boodle fight with their colleagues, followed by the announcement of winners who obtained medals and other prizes.
According to Mrs. Maria Cristina S. Silamor, MDSF Principal and Directress, their inspiration for the event was their aim to provide teachers with a happy workplace.
“You cannot change the world if you are not happy that’s why we engage them with exercises and fun activities like this,” she said.
The event ended with the teachers chanting their battle cry: “Happy Teachers Change the World!”
