Being a newbie did not hinder Sean Audric Uy to grab the gold medal in Bulacan Private Schools Association (BulPriSA) General Information (GI) event held at Living Angels Christian Academy (LACA), September 19.
According to Uy, preparing for a contest required him to sacrifice and set priorities every day to balance time used for studying and for taking a break and having fun.
“Everyday, I would note important events from the daily newspaper and at the same time, read books,” he said.
He expressed his gratitude to the persons who took a very big part in his success.
“Being my first time competing in BulPriSA, I was very happy and thankful to my coaches and teachers, to the people who supported me and more so, to God Almighty. I did not expect myself to win, I only did my best for the school and for my family,” he stated.
Uy also gave an advice to the students who want to join contests but do not have enough courage and confidence to do so.
“Always do what you can do best, and in order to do so demands practice after practice. Always keep up the faith and the morale so that, being guided by God’s providence, you can achieve what you aspire for,” he added.
He promised to do his best to fight and compete for the school, his friends, and family and left them the words: “You have never let me down throughout the years we have been together and for this, I will not let you down.”
