Tired yet rejuvenated, the Sagradan teachers from the different departments gathered together in the preschool conference room for their second Zumba session.
After a week-long of working, the teachers ended their week exercising through Zumba, a great way to shed some pounds. The session, which was led by the best Zumba instructors in town, started with a warm-up, followed by the different types of dance like cha-cha and hiphop accompanied by high-energy rhythms, and ended with a cool down. “I feel great after the Zumba. It’s been a long while since I had an exercise. I am so thankful that the school provides such activity for the teachers. Looking forward to the next fun and enjoyable Zumba session.” Teacher Cris Valderama, MDSF Faculty President said.
The fitness program aims to make MDSF teachers fit physically and mentally in their teaching endeavors. Moreover, Zumba helps to burn the high level of calories through aerobic activity. The teachers let loose and enjoyed each dance. They even shouted in unison after each song as a sign of feeling accomplished and satisfied even if they were all tired. It really made the teachers sweat and burn calories but left them still wanting for more.
Just like what they say, “Exercise not only changes your body. It changes your mind, your attitude, and your mood.” The teachers left with a smile on their faces as if they were not tired at all.
