Despite being an educational institution dominated by Catholic learners, the Montessori De Sagrada Familia (MDSF) community is celebrating Eid’l Fitr together with their Muslim academic neighbors today, June 26.
In line with the core value of having a sense of family, the entire Sagradan community has the opportunity to join their Muslim brothers and sisters in peace and harmony in observance and celebration of Eid’l Fitr.
Eid’l Fitr otherwise known as the end of Ramadan, culminates a month of fasting in which our Muslim brothers and sisters spend their time praying and beseeching Allah, their God, for forgiveness and mercy.
Under the Proclamation No. 235, President Rodrigo Duterte declared June 26 as a regular holiday throughout the archipelago which happened to be a long weekend since the holiday fell on a Monday.
On the other hand, the date for Eid’l Adha, another holy day in Islamic faith, is yet to announce.
