Hailed as 2nd Best Speaker, Garcia speaks out success in Extemporaneous Speech
And he ended his speech with a smile of a victor.
Sealing the 2nd Best Speaker Award, Vrent Evramm R. Garcia, Grade 11 student, proved that wit and charm are really the perfect complements to win the Extemporaneous Speech in BulPriSA held at Baliuag University, Sept. 19.
A seasoned Extemporaneous Speech contestant since Junior High School, Garcia excellently expressed his opinion on the topic “What is your stand about minors committing crimes like rape?” in three minutes after a three-minute preparation.
Garcia bested nine participants from other schools in District 3 which qualified him as a contestant in the Provincial BulPriSA meet in October. Meanwhile, Lorenzo Markus L. Bolaños, a Grade 10 student, ended as ninth placer in Extemporaneous Speech Junior High School Level.
Prior to the competition, Garcia and Bolaños underwent rigid training from Mrs. Vilma C. Dela Cruz, the school principal, and Mr. Juim S. Abanag.
